The kitchen at the cottage is fully equipped and cooking is a real pleasure at Croft 103, however we understand you may like a night off.
While there is a distinct lack of pizza delivery or Indian takeaway service locally, we have The Smoo Cave Hotel for simple pub food.
During the summer months there are takeout options at Sango Sands Oasis.
Further afield, Quay House in Kinlochbervie (30 min) is open during the summer, Old School Restaurant is a nice stop returning from Sandwood Bay.
Further down the coast Kyle Sku hotel is an amazing location serving local seafood.
Shorehouse is also a great seafood restaurant if you are heading out to Handa Island (daytime only).
Luckily, we have a great local larder from which to create beautiful meals from the comfort of Croft 103.
We strongly encourage everyone to shop local. There is a very well stocked village store, The Durness Shop open 8am-6pm and a small grocer, Mather’s open in the evenings for those bits you may forget.
You can make orders for fish, seafood, meat and general groceries with The Durness Shop and we can organise to deliver if you require groceries for your arrival or a mid-week top up (minimum spend applies).

We have a fantastic local fishmonger and butcher. The fishmonger can be found selling fresh fish outside Mathers shop at 10:45am on Wednesdays. Availability is weather dependent.
